Avona Escapes Biker Friendly Camping

Group bookings are a pain and we know that most campsites won’t take bookings of 6 or more people.

This is why we created our biker friendly campsite 😀

We run a beautiful site with shepherd huts and acres of camping space, we are based in Cheshire ( CW 12 area) on the doorstep of the Peak District, less than an hour from Matlock Bath, Snake Pass, Buxton and the Cat & Fiddle with amazing roads in all directions.

  • We also can give you lots of great biking routes and are happy to take you out on a day’s ride which incorporates some of the best bike roads in the area.
  • We can tailor the route to your times and places you would like to go to. Most of the routes are approx 5/6 hours with food, drink and toilet stops 😀

  • There are also dozens of hiking trails all around us for those that love a good walk up in the hills and woods, the site is actually situated on Gritstone Trail.

  • We welcome groups and do not have designated pitches so you can camp all in the same area.

  • We have a very secure site which is covered all round by CCTV, so your pride and joys will be safe and sound 🏍

  • Our site is in a rural area with next to no neighbours and we are at the top of a hill with the most beautiful views.

On site there is a brand new shower and toilets facilities building.

We have a 10ft firepit for people to gather around and also allow BBQs but ask you to use the paving slabs required to put them on.

We do have Alpacas, Peacocks and Ducks that free roam all over, so please don’t be surprised if they come and visit you 😁

We are just outside of Congleton, Staffordshire on the edge of the Peak District surrounded by beautiful views and amazing roads!
Our postcode is CW12 3QG.
With the best roads right on the doorstep Avona is an ideal place to pitch up your tent and then go riding.
The Welsh border is only 35 miles away, Ponderosa, the Old Stores Motorbike Cafe and the amazing roads through Worlds End are less than a couple of hours ride away.
We will be happy to chat about the best roads and cafes in the area, we can give you some ideas, just ask and we will help as much as we can 🙂

Prices

  • Pitches are available for £15.00, per night, based on 2 people.
  • For larger tents there is an additional charge of £5.00 per person.
  • Campervans are charged at £25.00 per night.
  • At present we do not have the capabilty of providing hook-ups but we will in the near future.
  • Big bag of logs is £10.00
  • Big bag of Charchol is £10.00
  • Bag of kindling and Firelighters is £10.00
  • We hire out small firepits at £5.00 per stay

Payment must be made in full at the time of the booking

Food we can provide

For groups over 10 we are happy to provide food for when you come back after your ride out at £10 a head we will either do a BBQ or home made pizzas with your choice of toppings.

Facilities

We apologise but as we have Peacocks,ducks, chickens and Alpacas roaming the property we can’t take the risk of allowing pets.
